I love to laugh & tequila & Thai food; a good book & a hammock in a shady spot with a cool island breeze blowing on a peaceful afternoon.

Hi Again, You mention Historical novels. This author bases his fiction novels on historical fact. So if a character meets a famous person, then that history is well researched by the author and except for the fictional character and conversation, all is correct. If a butcher shop was on that corner in the book it was there at that time in history etc. Oh tough subject matter. Have fun ed

Hi Beachcomber, You're a stunning looking lady for 61. Your lifestyle certainly is an anti-ageing tonic. Islands must be good for you but of course as you know, the sun can be tough on fair skin. Island, ie Magnetic Is. Fitzroy. I lived in Cairns for 50 odd years. Great place to grow up in and as a child, Cairns was quite small so freedoms abounded. I lived in Thailand for 5 years and there I ate a lot of McDonalds. I could not read or speak Thai , a difficult language as it is tonal and getting the sound right is useless if the tone is wrong. 5 tones I think, but some cultures I believe have 7. Maybe Cantonese. it has been a while. I don't eat offal , hate the taste, and NOTHING in Thailand is wasted. Even pointing at a menu item can be dangerous. Offal is in so many sauces and garnishes. YUCK. Stay cool. You present beautifully. ed.
