Retired professional, widowed, bloke who lives alone. Still sail and bike ride but have given up the really dangerous sports, that I loved..
Dog lover but not cats, currently befriending Magpies and Rosellas, who visit regularly.
Hate football, cricket, tennis golf etc but enjoy watching exciting sports and docos.
I use a wheelchair due to a hang gliding accident decades ago, but that hasn't stopped me from being active.
Looking for someone I can communicate with.
Things I like
- Interests:
- World events, useless bits of information, garden - Bonsai again after 20 years, bike riding in my handcycle, sailing, driving (not long distances now though), keeping healthy and talking about practically anything
- Music:
- 70s, 80s & 90s music, especially instrumentals and the stuff not often heard. I like the quirky and a bit weird artists who experimented. Also like the classic rock but not country or westen.
- Reading:
- Sci Fi and fantasy as well as technical, scientific and technical stuff.
- Movies/TV:
- SciFi, adventure, some series but prefer not being tied to watching long series.
- Food/dining:
- Chilli, spicy and interesting meals. Not a big restaurant frequenter. Prefer a good takeaway at home.
Trying to grow Chilli plants this year to get hot Habaneros, Naga, and others. - Sports/fitness:
- Sailing, bike riding, RC yacht racing. driving.
Used to ski - snow and water, but too hard to get over injuries now, so a bit less of an adrenaline junkie.
Should be fitter, but hate just exercising.
